Favorite quote or scripture related to justice:
Micah 6:8
“The Lord has made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, and don’t take yourself too seriously – take God seriously!” [The Message Bible]
What does justice mean to you?
Justice is the “right” ordering of power for common good and equality within a society!
Biblical justice drives my concern for people who are: without power; excluded from community; victims of injustice; abused by those in authority; identified as unworthy or undesirable.
What is the most powerful thing you have been a part of at ACT?
As a former health professional, the most powerful thing that I’ve been a part of at ACT was the public engagements around healthcare coverage for low-income residents of Sacramento County.
Favorite thing about Sacramento:
I love the “small town” feel of the city!
Who is your justice superhero?
Sojourner Truth is my superhero because she rose to prominence among great people (black and white) on her own with the simple and consistent guidance of her Christian faith.
